Next-Generation Offshore Site Investigation
Pan Maritime Energy Services is developing a state-of-the-art measurement-while-drilling (MWD) site investigation system designed to address the critical need for faster, more cost-effective, and environmentally responsible survey data for offshore wind and marine infrastructure development.
Through the MIRTL Project, PMES will demonstrate the functional sea-trial operation of this new geotechnical drilling capability together with its integration into a wider site modelling, survey, and pile installation framework, supported by a real-time digital twin platform.
The system will enable seamless delivery of geotechnical, geophysical, and pile design data, providing enhanced site modelling and assessment features. By combining robotics, automation, and advanced data analytics, MIRTL will significantly improve the efficiency and reliability of seabed investigations supporting floating offshore wind, coastal infrastructure, and development in challenging environments such as Arctic and deep-water regions.
